The Business Systems Analysis Specialist role involves business analysis, application support, and data insights. Job Responsibility:
Responsible for business analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of requests and incidents while adhering to departmental procedures
Responsible for data analysis and provide insights on the data to the customers
Communicate directly with customers, provide needed information and details on the assigned tasks
Use issue and request management application to record, track progress and milestones
Collaborate with the various teams (i.e., business, development and QA) to ensure that tasks are handled and brought to closure in an efficient and timely manner
Gains an in-depth understanding of application functionality and the business processes supported by these applications
Understand and meet the customer and senior management expectation on the delivery of the assigned tasks and keep them updated
Provides knowledge transition and training on supported applications to other team members when needed
Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
3-5 years of experience in PL/SQL
5+ years of experience in P&C Insurance Industry
7-8 years’ experience in business analysis, application support, system analysis with an understanding of software development lifecycle
Ability to exercise judgment using procedures and practices to determine the appropriate course of action and possess creative problem-solving skills
Successful candidate must have high level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and internal IT team members
Clear and concise documentation skills
Excellent organizational, communication, comprehension, follow through, and documentation skills are required
Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills/technology
Assume initiative and ownership of tasks assigned
Focus on providing exceptional customer service
Successful candidate must work well in a group, as well as alone and unsupervised
