This Business Support Officer role is based at the Front Door of Children’s Social Care and is situated within the Business Support function of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The Front Door/MASH plays an integral part in supporting Gloucestershire’s most vulnerable children and families, as well as being the first contact point for professionals and members of the public.
Job Responsibility:
Gather, analyse, and summarise information about children and families to support timely and informed safeguarding decisions within the Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)
Support Gloucestershire’s most vulnerable children and families
Be the first contact point for professionals and members of the public at the Front Door of Children’s Social Care
Requirements:
Proactive and well‑organised individual
Provide essential administrative support within a busy social work environment
Monitor generic mailboxes
Pick up and action tasks
Prepare documents in Microsoft Word
Update spreadsheets in Excel
Create and upload documents to bespoke database Liquid Logic (full training will be provided)
Work collaboratively with partner agencies
Prioritise referrals
Produce accurate reports that help identify potential risks and support the safeguarding of vulnerable children
Right to work that enables commitment to at least 6 months' employment
Ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English (legal requirement for customer facing roles)
