This Business Support Officer role is based at the Front Door of Children’s Social Care and is situated within the Business Support function of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The Front Door/MASH plays an integral part in supporting Gloucestershire’s most vulnerable children and families, as well as being the first contact point for professionals and members of the public.
Job Responsibility:
Gather, analyse, and summarise information about children and families to support timely and informed safeguarding decisions within the Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub
Monitor generic mailboxes, pick up and action tasks
Prepare documents in Microsoft Word and update spreadsheets in Excel
Create and upload documents to the bespoke database, Liquid Logic
Work collaboratively with partner agencies, prioritise referrals, and produce accurate reports that help identify potential risks and support the safeguarding of vulnerable children
Requirements:
Proactive and well-organised individual
Experience providing administrative support in a busy social work environment
Ability to monitor generic mailboxes and action tasks
Proficiency in preparing documents in Microsoft Word and updating spreadsheets in Excel
Ability to create and upload documents to a bespoke database (Liquid Logic training provided)
Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies
Ability to prioritise referrals and produce accurate reports to identify potential risks and support safeguarding
Right to work enabling commitment to at least 6 months' employment
Ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English (legal requirement for customer-facing roles)
