Job Responsibility:
Adopt an aspirant view to students

Plan, prepare and present interesting and IEB aligned Business Studies lessons
Teach some EMS (Grade 8 or 9)
Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing and promotes deep learning

Consistently evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice

Teach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week
Be actively engaged in the afternoon programme for a minimum of two afternoons per week

To attend all occasions appropriate to the position
To meet all appropriate timelines for action
To be a Tutor teacher, ensuring effective pastoral care for a group of students

Requirements:
Appropriate legal right to work in a South African school
University degree in an appropriate subject
SACE accreditation
A minimum of three years’ experience teaching Business Studies at FET level (Gr10 – 12)
Previous experience with the IEB programme
Excellent classroom management
Confidence with use of ICT in teaching
The ability to engage and interest teenagers
Nice to have:
The ability to coach an afternoon activity would be advantageous
