This is a full-time, position starting as soon as possible for a dedicated Business Studies specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality curriculum across Key Stages 4 and 5, with a particular focus on A-level Business. The role requires someone who can bring the world of commerce to life, using real-world case studies to help students navigate the complexities of finance, marketing, operations, and strategy.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver high-quality lessons across GCSE and A-level Business Studies
Develop innovative schemes of work that align with national curriculum standards
Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback to ensure target grades are met
Prepare students for external examinations through rigorous revision sessions and mock assessments
Maintain a positive learning environment through effective classroom management
Collaborate with the Social Sciences department to share best practices and resources
Engage in parent-teacher evenings and departmental meetings to discuss student development
Integrate ICT and digital literacy into the Business curriculum
Support extracurricular activities, such as Young Enterprise or business-related clubs
Keep up to date with industry trends to ensure the curriculum remains relevant
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Strong subject knowledge of current business theories and global markets
Eligibility to work in the UK
Analytical thinking to interpret complex business data
