A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Northampton is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join their team from September. The successful candidate will teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop commercial awareness, entrepreneurial thinking, and the skills needed for future success.
Job Responsibility
Deliver engaging and high-quality Business Studies lessons to KS4 and KS5 students
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications
Inspire students through real-world business examples and interactive learning
Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing effective feedback to maximise achievement
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the wider school community
Support students with exam preparation, intervention sessions, and revision programmes
Contribute to enterprise activities and enrichment opportunities across the school
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Business Studies (or BTEC equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business education
Excellent classroom management skills and high expectations of student achievement
A commitment to inclusive education and supporting all learners to reach their full potential
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
