Job Responsibility:
GCSE & BTEC Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across KS4, focusing on core themes such as enterprise, marketing, finance, and human resources
Real-World Application: Use current business news, case studies (from local startups to global giants), and "Dragon's Den" style projects to make the curriculum relevant and exciting
Exam Preparation: Provide targeted support for Year 11 students, use mock data to bridge gaps in knowledge and refine exam techniques for upcoming boards
Creative Resource Design: Develop digital and physical resources that cater to a range of learning styles, ensuring that business theory is accessible to all students
Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the Humanities/Social Sciences faculty to ensure consistency in marking, moderation, and student tracking
Positive Climate Management: Maintain a professional and aspirational classroom atmosphere that mirrors a corporate environment, fostering mutual respect and ambition
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential. A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field is highly desirable
Proven Subject Expertise: A strong understanding of current GCSE and/or BTEC Business specifications
Part-Time Commitment: Ability to commit to the specific working pattern of Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Engaging Pedagogy: The ability to simplify complex financial models or legal frameworks into digestible, engaging lessons
Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one urgently through Randstad)
