A prestigious Accountancy Practice is looking for an experienced Business Services Manager to join a busy, supportive team that works with small and medium-sized businesses across a variety of sectors. This role offers the chance to focus on agricultural clients while working on a wide range of accounting, tax, and advisory projects. Job Responsibility:
Oversee preparation and review of accounts and tax returns for a portfolio of clients
Manage and report on management accounts, budgets, and engagement profitability
Supervise and mentor junior team members, including reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback
Support clients in setting up and maintaining accounting systems and processes
Maintain strong client relationships and act as the main point of contact on engagements
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Contribute to business development initiatives, including building relationships with referrers and attending professional events
Balance multiple projects effectively, both individually and as part of a team, in the office and at client sites
Requirements:
Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent experience
Minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience in a UK accountancy practice
Comfortable working with limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
Strong IT skills, including MS Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work to deadlines while managing multiple priorities
Professional, tenacious, and self-motivated with strong technical knowledge
Able to handle confidential information with discretion
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
Nice to have:
Experience with agricultural clients is preferred but not essential
Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or CCH software advantageous
