Business Risk and Control Sr Officer

• Work with management on governance and the facilitation of the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA)
• accountable for the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework
• ensure the identification of issue root cause and recommend corrective actions
• direct teams in the implementation of the Lessons Learned Policy
• support management in the review and challenge process on the effective design and management of controls
• assess adherence to MCA Standard through controls
• assist management in exercising control over Operational and Compliance Risk
• help management allocate resources to manage risk exposures
• assess Risk Appetite and monitor exposures
• take ownership to ensure Operational and Compliance Risk events are captured accurately
• ensure adequate governance and training to support Risk profiles
• assess risks associated with New Activities and changes to the Business
• support management on operational risk scenario analysis and stress testing
• take ownership to embed risk and control responsibilities
• guide and influence procedures for sound operational and compliance risk management
• identify and implement control points and processes in the business
• assess risk when making business decisions and escalate control issues

• 10+ years of experience
• familiarity with 3rd party risk models
• consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• SQL, Perl or Python, Matlab or R, Excel VBA
• database administrator experience is a plus
• Bachelor's/University degree
• Master's degree preferred
