Job Description

We are seeking a Business Protection Specialist who will contribute to enterprise-wide vulnerability and patch management programmes, supporting the protection of infrastructure, services, and the Vodafone brand. This role focuses on proactive vulnerability remediation, governance, and continuous improvement of security-related IT service processes, working closely with Group Data Centre teams, Local Markets, and technology stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Identify and monitor infrastructure and application vulnerabilities using industry-standard scanning tools
  • Coordinate and track remediation activities in line with agreed schedules and governance models
  • Support operating system patching across the installed technology baseline to maintain compliance with security standards
  • Design and promote preventive patching strategies, including automation and cloud-related security approaches
  • Facilitate governance and alignment between Local Markets and Operations teams
  • Produce clear, data-driven reports and KPIs for senior stakeholders and leadership forums
  • Contribute to vulnerability management frameworks, quality improvement initiatives, and service process optimisation
  • Monitor decommissioning activities to ensure compliance with defined processes and security requirements

Requirements

  • Broad technical knowledge across IT domains, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and vulnerability management
  • Quality-driven mindset, supported by practical experience with IT service management frameworks
  • Comfortable designing KPIs, dashboards, and analytical reports to support decision-making
  • Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting style as needed
  • Experienced or familiar with IT governance practices and structured service processes
  • Fluent in English (minimum B2 level)
  • Desirable experience includes exposure to ITIL practices, vulnerability management tools, operating system environments (Windows, UNIX, Linux), and service management platforms
