Within our ERP Centre of Excellence we are looking for a proactive Finance Business Process Owner (BPO) at our new Head Quarters in Nootdorp, the Netherlands, to drive the performance, optimization, and continuous improvement of our global ERP system (IFS). This is your chance to play a defining role in Fugro’s global digital transformation. As our Business Process Owner, you help shape how 100+ entities operate by driving the performance and evolution of our IFS ERP landscape. You lead a skilled team (6 Business Process Experts and 4 external consultants), own key finance processes across all regions, and act as the connector who brings the CoE implementation partners and the business together. You drive standardisation and play a pivotal role in the individual roll-out of the system to each entity. Change management is a central part of this role: you build alignment across regions and ensure that every improvement truly lands in the organization. Your ability to inspire adoption, translate complexity into clarity, and bring people along is just as important as your system expertise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safeguard and optimize global IFS processes, ensuring consistent process design, configuration, and adoption across Fugro
  • Support process and solution changes, implement new functionality (e.g., business planning, multi‑company), and guide fit‑gap analysis during global roll‑outs (Wave 3, 4, etc.)
  • Strengthen financial decision‑making by defining management reporting needs and supporting project control, tax, treasury, and month‑end close activities
  • Develop and maintain training materials, Global Business Process documentation, and user guidance to support effective system use
  • Drive continuous improvement based on feedback from end users and finance stakeholders, and monitor adoption through KPIs and post‑go‑live reviews
  • Implement and automate internal controls in line with Fugro’s internal control framework, including role design and segregation‑of‑duties compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, and Controlling or related field
  • 8 years of advanced experience working with major ERP systems and possess deep functional and technical knowledge, ideally in IFS
  • At least 5 years of proven international expertise in end‑to‑end business process analysis, optimization, and standardization
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, enabling effective collaboration across global teams
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a solid track record of managing and developing high‑performing teams
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, and feel confident operating in an international, multi‑stakeholder environment
