Job Responsibility
Develop a deep understanding of Shopify, and build high trust battery with leaders to strategically influence and provide expert-level consultation and solutions
Develop and implement the talent strategy that aligns to and moves the business goals and objectives forward, focused on attracting, retaining, engaging, and developing our talent density
Build compelling narratives and influence senior leaders to create comprehensive, 'outcome where everybody wins' solutions for the business and employee experience by using analytics and insights
Advise on efficient org design and development to facilitate current and future business goals
Provide an 'outside of the box' perspective to Senior Leadership Team as a Talent subject matter expert
Executive coaching for Senior Leadership Teams helping individuals reach their full potential and supporting the team efficiency with skilled facilitation
Contribute to the development and growth of the broader Talent Team through leadership, coaching, and team building
Possess a track record of strong leadership capability and want to model the behaviours and expectations of our leaders
Requirements
Demonstrated success partnering with VP-level leadership within an HR or Talent function, translating business needs into people strategies that drive team performance and organizational health
You have a proven ability to create strategy and vision, as well as manage the execution of work with our teams
You have found ways to maximize your impact using AI to remove the noise so you can focus on high leverage, relationship-based output
Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Comfort with ambiguity and can collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve common organizational objectives
You navigate decisions through relationship building, strong business acumen, and the ability to balance the two
You are a strong communicator and a leader capable of working with all levels of people cross-functionally and globally
Knowledge and understanding of local legislation as it relates to labor laws and Talent matters within the Americas region
