An HR Business Partner with assigned College(s) or administrative departments to establish and implement HR strategies, initiatives, and activities that will foster effectiveness and efficiency, while also aiding in recruitment, motivation, and retention of talented employees. Business Partners with management and serves proactively as the HR resource/liaison with the units to assess human resources needs, provide HR analysis, ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies, recommend HR solutions to assist leaders in managing human resources, and deliver HR services in areas such as Employment, Employee Relations, Compensation, Organizational Design, Performance Management,and Training & Development and Investigations.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the hiring and position creation/reclassification processes for all staffing needs within assigned area(s), from analysis to employee on-boarding
Act as a resource on human resources matters, providing guidance, assistance and support to management, supervisors and administrators within assigned College(s) or Department(s)
Manage projects, initiatives, and vendors as needed to effectively service customers while also continuously improving departmental services
Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate HR related training, programs, and events on a regular basis
Completes all other activities as assigned and/or necessary to ensure efficient operation of the department
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Human resources, business, psychology, or related field
3 years of related work experience required
Preferred work experience at a University/College
SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification is preferred
