The Commercial Sales team is responsible for managing the business relation with our partners. This dynamic team is dedicated to improving overall experience and driving success for both Groupon, the partner and the end users (customers). As the intern within our sales team in London, you will be responsible for creating insights and actions for the Local business, supporting the sales teams across the UK and working on your own commercial relationships with our partners, combining marketing, finance and overall commercial tactics to improve our results - while getting to know all the ins and outs of how large global companies operate while doing so! This internship offers a hands-on experience where you will directly contribute to projects and immediately see the tangible results of your work. You will be given genuine responsibilities and gain valuable exposure to Groupon's senior leadership.
Job Responsibility:
Finding new ways of generating commercial leads by combining your skills with specific market tactics
Working in small groups to tackle specific operational and commercial challenges
Learning about ecommerce/platform/deal economics and applying this to real world negotiations
Directly approaching businesses across the UK to discover how they can cooperate with Groupon
Using social media and other marketing channels to increase Groupon’s brand recognition with small/medium businesses
Joining our senior sales team members in high value negotiations with our partners
Requirements:
A current or completed university or higher level education in any relevant field such as marketing, finance, economics, STEM but other educational backgrounds are welcome to apply too
Fluency in English
Any experience working with Microsoft/Google Suites, Salesforce or similar tools is highly desirable
Based in London with the ability to attend the London office, based in Aldgate Tower
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Self-motivated team player who can succeed in a dynamic fast-paced work environment
