Job Description

The Business Operations Manager, Deposit Products will be the operational owner for Rocket Money’s deposit products. You will run Business Operations for our existing Smart Savings account (FBO), lead the launch of our upcoming high-yield account (HYSA/HYCA), and build the operating foundation for any future deposit products. This role sits at the intersection of product, partnerships, compliance, finance, and operations, acting as the connective tissue that ensures our deposit products are safe, scalable, compliant, and financially sound.

Job Responsibility

  • Own day-to-day business operations for Smart Savings and future deposit products
  • Monitor product health, financial drivers, risks, and operational KPIs
  • Translate business goals into operational plans
  • Drive the launch of our new high-yield deposit account
  • Build the operational infrastructure for future deposit products
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for deposit product bank partners, processors, and internal stakeholders
  • Build and continuously refine procedures across fraud, escheatment, payments, customer support workflows, exception handling
  • Deep-dive into operational issues, data anomalies, and system behavior
  • Craft clear, concise documentation
  • Align cross-functional teams around decisions, timelines, and risks
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy, Product Operations, or a highly cross-functional operational role
  • Thrive in ambiguity and act like an owner
  • Exceptional communicator
  • Strong project manager with a bias toward action
  • Comfortable with data analysis and turning metrics into decisions (Looker, pivot tables)
  • Proven ability to work with partners, vendors, and technical + non-technical stakeholders, balancing diplomacy and assertiveness
  • Enjoy moving between strategy and execution
