Job Responsibility

  • Lead the store Business Plan process together with the Store Manager and Management Team by analysing local market trends, customer insights, and business opportunities
  • Drive and coordinate the financial business planning process while ensuring alignment between business priorities, goals, and financial dimensions
  • Partner closely with commercial teams to identify growth opportunities and support decision-making through strong business case and ROI analysis
  • Take ownership of the store Profit & Loss by monitoring performance, controlling costs, improving productivity, and driving long-term profitability
  • Create accurate forecasts, analyse business performance, and activate scenario plans whenever required to support business stability and growth
  • Optimize store performance by implementing best practices, identifying gaps, and following up on key performance indicators and benchmarks
  • Provide clear, user-friendly business reporting and insights that support informed decision-making across the organisation
  • Ensure all investments and projects are supported by proper financial analysis and business impact assessment
  • Lead, coach, and develop leaders and teams within the Business Navigation & Operations function while securing succession planning and talent development
  • Secure a safe, compliant, and risk-aware environment by ensuring adherence to accounting rules, cash administration routines, compliance policies, and IKEA standards
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and act as a trusted speaking partner who supports the business through collaboration, integrity, and leadership by example

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience in leading teams within a retail environment

  • Partner with the store manager in achieving excellence in operations ensuring that the rules, IKEA group risk manual guidelines and country legislation are implemented and monitored, the store is always safe and secure for customers and co-workers and that our property is safeguarded
  • Effectively manage the recovery department to achieve the best balance between sales and costs considering the IKEA commitment for being a responsible company when it comes to sustainability
  • Support the management team to create actions plans for their areas of responsibility according to IKEA standards and make sure they have the appropriate approved tools in place to maximise productivity and efficiency
  • Proactively take responsibility to summarise and communicate financial goals (including P&L) and contribute to the development of the store business plan, local marketing plan and commercial Strategy
  • Encourage team members and coworkers to discover even more effective and cost-conscious ways of working to make us quicker, leaner and simpler, and through this lower our cost structure
