Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the Business Navigator in steering the business towards long-term profitability and improving sales, efficiency and minimizing costs
  • Act as an interface to the other departments and give support regarding finance related issues
  • Together with the Business Navigator jointly responsible for the accurate accountancy in the store in accordance with the legal provisions in force and the IKEA guidelines
  • Responsible for administrative and operational tasks including fulfilment of legal and accounting requirements
  • Challenging the existing ways of working with the goal of operating in a quicker, leaner and simpler way
  • Working with the store team by supporting and challenging them to ensure the business growth with sustained profitability
  • Using store performance benchmarking reports to identify proven solutions and to secure the effective implementation of tools, working methods and best practices

Requirements

  • Experience in working in a customer-focused service industry, preferably retail
  • Passion for home furnishing and doing the best for customers
  • Good knowledge of business administration, internal control demands as well as accounting principles & financial statements
  • Experience in staff scheduling as an advantage
  • Process and result orientation
  • Good personal discipline and an ability to work within set deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • Capability to lead, communicate and implement change and motivate others
  • Proven analytical and numerical skills as well as computer proficiency with intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Capability to communicate confidentially and clearly in German and English (spoken and written)
