Job Description:

IKEA Edinburgh is seeking a Business Navigation Manager for a 6-month fixed term contract. You will have the opportunity to steer the store towards growth, optimal performance, and long-term profitability through strong leadership and business insights. The role involves working closely with various stakeholders to develop strategic and operational goals, promote commercial opportunities, and mentor teams.

Job Responsibility:

Guide the business towards long term growth and profitability
Be a strategic business partner with analytical skills
Coordinate the store Business Plan process with the store manager and management team
Work with local market data to provide insight on customers and their experience
Inspire motivation and engagement within the organisation
Identify commercial opportunities and promote business case thinking with the commercial team
Work with outside trends relevant to the local market and translate them into business opportunities
Coach and mentor leaders and teams
Identify and develop potential and secure succession planning.

Requirements:

Work experience or a Degree in Business Navigation/ Finance or a related field
Previous leadership experience at a senior level
Analytical skills, able to translate business needs into financial consequences and solutions
Broad commercial business knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
Ability to recognise outside trends and translate them into IKEA relevance
Effective communication skills
Solid understanding of IKEA values.
