This position is to working in Matosinhos and Braga. Together as a team, some would call us administrative magicians, but in our team we just keep track of things and enjoy helping people to do what they do better and faster, with less fuss and fewer hitches. We plan the events and manage the guest lists, and we keep offices, processes and organizations running smoothly.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the store Business Plan process together with the store manager and management team and proactively working with local market data to understand people’s life at home and our customers experience in our different touch points to provide relevant insight
Provide a safe, secure and compliant environment for our customers, suppliers and co-workers. Secure implementation of relevant rules and guidelines in the areas of Risk and compliance, cash administration routines, accounting rules etc
Actively contributing to the development of the IKEA store business plan and ensuring it is aligned with IKEA global directions, the country’s priorities and local potential
Achieving growth and sustained long-term profitability while keeping our customers in focus
Drive and coordinate the financial business planning process and secure that the financial dimensions are aligned with the store challenges and priorities while involving and creating commitment among stakeholders when setting goals
Having a full overview of the profit and loss (P&L) for the store and IKEA Food, understanding how different actions impact the different lines in the P&L. Follow up the result and create forecasts and (if needed) activate scenario plan
Secure that all investments are done with a proper analysis or business ROI considering all aspect of the different projects
Ensuring the store is in shape as new by managing maintenance and property
Securing that our investments minimize environmental impact and that utilities, such as energy, gas, water, are consumed as efficiently as possible
Lead and develop leaders and teams in the areas of responsibility of the BNO function. Identify and develop talents and secure succession planning
Requirements:
Previous management experience in a financial/commercial role with proven analytical and numerical skills
Understanding the profit, loss and how to affect its result through actions
Experience of setting and implementing action plans, setting budgets, providing clear direction and following up goals
Strategic business partner, with ability to quickly develop knowledge of the local market and business conditions and take commercial decisions based on this information
Ability to recognize outside trends relevant for your local market and translate them into business opportunities
Experience of leading in a changing environment
Good communication skills with ability to influence and create energy and commitment within the organization
