The Business Manager will serve as a strategic and operational partner to the Senior Director and leadership team within OPG. This role integrates strategy, operations, financial management, governance, communications, and organizational effectiveness to ensure seamless business execution. You will enable leadership to operate at the right altitude—balancing strategic foresight with disciplined execution—while ensuring operational continuity, governance rigor, and cross-functional alignment across a complex global environment.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with leadership to translate strategy into executable business plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes
Drive annual and quarterly business planning, including priority alignment, workforce planning, and resource allocation
Ensure alignment across strategy, operations, finance, partner engagement, and organizational initiatives
Anticipate risks, trade-offs, and interdependencies
provide actionable recommendations
Own and manage the Leadership Team’s operating cadence, including Leadership Team meetings, Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs/QBRs), Executive syncs and high-visibility forums
Drive clarity on decisions, actions, and accountability
Maintain governance rigor, compliance oversight, and cross-functional follow-through
Ensure business continuity during periods of change or transformation
Support and coordinate complex, high-visibility initiatives such as Delivery Partner Summits, Strategic pilots and rollouts, Vendor onboarding and compliance-sensitive programs, Executive engagement motions
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Legal, Engineering, HR, MS Digital, and partner teams to remove blockers and maintain execution velocity
Ensure consistency and coherence across parallel global workstreams
Support team budget planning and allocation aligned with strategic priorities
Track vendor and discretionary spend to ensure compliance and budget adherence
Monitor actuals vs. forecast
identify risks such as accruals, vendor overruns, and late charges
Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor performance signals and risk indicators
Enable proactive leadership through data-driven insights
Develop executive-ready presentations, memos, and business narratives
Synthesize complex operational data into clear decision frameworks
Prepare leaders for high-impact engagements and strategic conversations
Drive clarity and alignment across stakeholder communications
Serve as a confidential and neutral advisor to leadership and team members
Support workforce planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives
Amplify team sentiment to leadership and ensure feedback translates into action
Foster a culture of psychological safety, inclusion, and accountability
Support morale and transitions during periods of ambiguity or transformation
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 4+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
OR equivalent experience
Nice to have:
5+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, HR, or related business roles
Experience in Chief of Staff, Business Manager, or high-pace leadership support roles
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and forecasts
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
ability to craft executive-level narratives
Experience operating in global, matrixed environments
Experience applying AI to improve business or customer outcomes
Master’s degree in business administration, Management, or related field preferred
