On behalf of a prestigious educational institution, we are seeking a highly capable Business Manager to oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of the school. This is a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring a world-class learning environment through operational excellence and financial accuracy.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and lead all operational teams and external providers, including maintenance, IT, cleaning, catering, school assistants, and receptionists
Oversee supplier and contract management, ensuring service quality and costeffectiveness
Manage the school’s facilities, ensuring a safe, inspiring, and high-functioning learning environment
Manage the maintenance, security, and development of school buildings and grounds
Ensure that health & safety and compliance policies are up to date and adhered to by all staff
Lead fire safety training and risk management strategies
Keep school leadership informed on all health & safety, building, and operational matters
Supervise and enhance catering, coffee shops, after-school, and transportation services
Monitor income and expenditure, ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Analyze financials, manage budgets, and negotiate supplier contracts
Collaborate with the Country CFO, supporting budgeting and forecasting
Requirements:
3+ years of Experience
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
Ideally, previous experience in a similar role within the education sector. Alternatively, working experience running operations or managing a business in hospitality, startups, or other service-driven environments
Proven leadership skills, managing diverse teams and external providers
Hands-on, problem-solving approach with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
