As the Business Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the success of IMAS. Working closely with the Executive Director, General Manager, Sciences and Engineering and academic leaders, you will lead the financial and operational performance of IMAS, ensuring alignment with University priorities. You will drive the development and delivery of business and operational plans, overseeing budgeting, workforce planning and performance against key targets. With a strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation, you will champion improvement initiatives, streamline systems and embed best-practice processes to enhance student, research and academic outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategy, lead complex projects and identify new business development opportunities. You will also play a key role in promoting a culture of safety, wellbeing and effective risk management, while providing high-level advice to leadership teams. Requirements
Relevant tertiary or industry qualifications and relevant professional competence and experience
Demonstrated ability to apply well-rounded strategic and critical thinking skills consistently and proactively
Demonstrated operational leadership experience within a complex, commercial environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with all levels of the organisation and the ability to work in a flexible and collaborative manner to deliver successful outcomes in an effective way
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to devise creative and effective solutions and plans for a range of stakeholders
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and initiative to drive and implement changes to operations where improvements or efficiencies can be achieved
