Business Manager – for Egypt, North Africa and Pakistan to be responsible for sales activities and business growth in his/her territories as well as customer strategies to defend and grow business. The role will be based in Cairo/Egypt and to reports to EEU/MEA Business Director.
Job Responsibility:
Achieve sales, volume and CM1 targets
Build and strengthen customer relationships
Develop and implement countries as well as customer strategies to defend and grow business
Ensure the implementation of all sales related processes defined by BL Coating Additives
Promote the sale of the Coating Additives' product portfolio to the Coatings and Inks industry in the area of responsibility, identify new opportunities and drive them to successful closure
≥ 60% domestic & International travelling to customers in his/her region
Communicate the local action plan
explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and the broader organization's mission and vision
motivate people to achieve local business goals
Develop and implement a relationship management plan for potential customer accounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision makers and influencers within the customer organization and to enable effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues
Develop a personal network within the sales territory and represent the organization at trade shows and other events to identify sales opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation
Use personal expertise to identify the complex standard products and/or services offered by the organization that meet the customer's needs, together with quantities and product configurations
Present these to the customer with a clear rationale and at standard commercial terms, referring to senior colleagues where necessary to ask for concessions (e.g., price reduction) that gain the customer's agreement
Collaborate internally and work as the customer champion in cross-functional teams to build strong external customer relationships
Enter customer information that has been gathered through research and/or through direct customer contact into the customer relationship management system, to ensure that the organization has quality data to enable effective customer retention and business development activities OR ensure that team members maintain up-to-date customer relationship management data, identifying and resolving issues
Requirements:
A degree in chemical engineering or Chemistry with a strong tendency for sales
Relevant working experience of minimum 5 years in Paints & coatings industries, preferable in specialty additives
Background from a multinational company or a reputed Distributor trading with Multinational Specialty Chemicals
Techno-commercial skills with sound computer literacy with efficient communication skills in Arabic and English
Depth knowledge of commercial aspects/sales issues
Able to demonstrate strong business acumen
High customer orientation and very good market understanding
Effective team player and Self-motivated
Person with the sense of initiative to work independently in their region, with excellent organizational skills
Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements
Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives
Applies understanding of the business environment and objectives to develop solutions without supervision, while also providing technical assistance when necessary
