We are seeking a dynamic Business Manager to support our Director of Planning & Execution within our Intermediaries department - a fast-growing channel managing over £25bn in assets and driving innovation at RBC Brewin Dolphin. As a Business Manager, you'll be at the heart of key projects, working closely with senior leaders across Governance, Change, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, and Marketing. Your expertise will contribute to key initiatives, from risk management to client literature and business strategy. You will be a motivated self-starter, that is confident in planning and contributing to key business priorities from inception to completion. Teamwork is an important element, and the Business Manager will need to work at pace and be comfortable to ensure productivity is efficient and deadlines are achieved. The department operates in an ever-changing landscape, and we're seeking someone who thrives in such environments. The ideal candidate will not only manage competing demands but also have strong adaptability and resilience in responding to unexpected changes or challenges. This role is well-suited for a professional with a strong foundation in business management, project management, operations, or governance. We are seeking someone who has hands-on experience in these areas, demonstrating the ability to work proactively and autonomously to drive results. While prior exposure and transferable skills from these experiences is essential, extensive senior-level experience is not required. The ideal candidate will bring a versatile skill set and a collaborative mindset to contribute effectively in a dynamic environment.
Job Responsibility
Lead and coordinate strategic projects, offering innovative solutions to drive growth
Represent the Intermediary channel in Change working groups and readiness boards
Prepare supporting papers for senior leadership and governance committees
Prepare presentations and data analysis for meetings, working groups, and other initiatives
Manage client literature updates and ensure compliance with industry standards
Work with ManCo members to complete and submit Risk Control Self-Assessment for the Channel and management of Operating Events and Issues
Identify process improvement opportunities and drive implementation of solutions
Analyse data, monitor KPIs, and deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain business continuity and operational excellence
Requirements
Proven experience in a Business Management or similar role within wealth management
Expertise in project management, with a track record of delivering results
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a keen eye for detail
Ability to thrive under pressure, multitask, and adapt to shifting priorities
Confidence to engage with senior leaders and challenge the status quo constructively
