Job Description:

As a Business Manager at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. The Debit Strategy Team is a collaborative and energetic group of analysts who are responsible for monitoring and amplifying our debit business; we do so by creating new debit Customers and deepening engagement among existing Customers. Debit is one of the largest revenue drivers in the bank and is expected to grow significantly in the coming years. We represent this debit performance across the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
  • Product: Perform modeling/analytics to develop new product strategies
  • Marketing: Support direct-to-consumer marketing/communication efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through the retail channel
  • Execution: Involve problem frame-works, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring plan
  • Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: Product, Operations, Finance, Customer Protection, and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
  • At least 2 years of experience in analysis
  • Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics
  • Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Presentation Skills
  • Clear results orientation
  • Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment

Nice to have:

  • Master’s Degree in Business or quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, Engineering

  • 1+ year of experience in consulting
  • 2+ years of experience in people management
