Our client is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Paralegal to join a tight knit legal team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document management for complex commercial litigation matters. This position requires an individual with exceptional organizational skills and a strong understanding of business and commercial law.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and organize case documentation, including filings, exhibits, motions, and correspondence
Conduct comprehensive legal research on topics such as civil procedure, commercial contracts, banking, real estate, and partnership law
Draft and revise litigation documents, including complaints, answers, interrogatories, subpoenas, briefs, and memos
Monitor deadlines and coordinate schedules using calendaring software to ensure timely filings and court appearances
Prepare trial binders, deposition summaries, witness and exhibit lists, and provide logistical support for hearings
Collaborate with clients, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, court staff, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progress
Assist in e-discovery processes by organizing, tagging, and reviewing relevant documents and emails
Analyze docket activity and manage filing of court-generated documents
Maintain accurate billing records and prepare status reports to ensure efficient case management
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in litigation, preferably in commercial or business law
In-depth knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, contracts, banking, real estate, and partnership law
Proven ability to draft motions, discovery, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision
Proficiency in e-filing systems, document management platforms, Microsoft Office, and e-discovery tools
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
Paralegal certification or bachelor’s degree with a focus on litigation paralegal work is preferred
Motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
