Job Description

The Work Dynamics Data & Insights team is looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Specialist to work in its Business Intelligence Team. The Business Intelligence Specialist will work as part of a highly skilled client-oriented global data community at JLL to develop innovative analytical solutions that support the business's efforts to increase productivity, reduce risk, lift customer satisfaction, and drive revenue.

Job Responsibility

Lead the technical development of complex Business Intelligence initiatives, ensuring constant communication and partnership with the Head of Business Intelligence
Liaise with key stakeholders, including directly with JLL and Work Dynamics client senior management, to translate complex requirements into practical business solutions
Lead and work as part of sprint development teams to develop sustainable solutions
Ensuring iterative design processes are followed, providing regular feedback and engagement to the business
Identify new analytics technology and techniques, building proof of concepts demonstrating the potential use case and return on investment for the business
Be an active member of the internal and external Work Dynamics Business Intelligence communities to identify and implement industry best practices on the business’s analytics
Facilitate the continuous growth in skills and knowledge of the other analysts within the business
Actively participating in feedback to analysts on the development of new initiatives
Be continuously looking 12-18 months in the future, actively participating in defining the Business Intelligence strategy and identifying growth opportunities in revenue, compliance and productivity
Develop innovative analytical solutions that support the business's efforts to increase productivity, reduce risk, lift customer satisfaction, and drive revenue
Engage with external industry communities, including Tableau, Alteryx, and Databricks, to ensure their skills continually evolve
Support the development of analytical proof of concepts to demonstrate the potential return on investment and transform proof of concepts into sustainable processes
Develop end-to-end analytical solutions for complex business initiatives, translating business requirements into insightful and sustainable dashboards and analyses
Mentor and coach Business Intelligence Analysts and senior Analysts within the business
Lead development tasks, understand the team's longer-term personal development goals, and collaborate across accounts
Embrace new technology and techniques, leading the development of Proof of Concepts
Define, prototype, and implement complex analytical solutions, as well as transforming transactional data into meaningful business insights

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or equivalent experience in BI, computer science, econometrics, operations research or statistics preferred, or equivalent working experience
A minimum of 6 years of work experience as a business intelligence, business, or data analyst is required
Fluent English
Ability to engage with colleagues across the Business Intelligence Team

Previous evidence of creating innovative solutions that push the known boundaries of analytical tools such as Tableau, Alteryx and GPTs
Previous experience using an enterprise-level data warehouse and fact and dimensional data models
A proven track record of delivering and understanding the latest industry approaches

Expert experience in Business Intelligence visualisation tools (for example, Tableau)
Working experience in the analytical toolkit (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R, Python)
Outstanding analytical mindset with an ability to interpret, visualise and tell the story behind the data
Focus on providing relevant solutions to the clients’ challenges, which drive productivity, profitability, client satisfaction or other important business metrics
Able to deliver high-quality work promptly, also under time pressure
A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to effectively communicate both with technical experts and management
Professional experience and passion to further excel in a category of broadly understood BI, including Business & client understanding, business analysis, data visualisation, databases, data integration, ETL, big data, storytelling, Generative AI and strategy

A Business Intelligence expert with knowledge of data visualisation and analytical techniques
Bring global experience and best practices to bust silos and ensure effective utilisation of data
Proven examples of utilising Tableau and Alteryx to develop innovative solutions to complex requirements
Demonstrates an ability to learn new techniques and tools as and when identified, for example, predictive modelling, Generative AI and Human Centred Design
Communication - Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written), strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts, and ability to explain them to others through simple storytelling
