Job Description:

The Business Intelligence Specialist – Power BI Developer will play a critical role in modernizing and transforming reporting capabilities through Power BI and Azure services. This role involves designing scalable and flexible reporting solutions, translating business requirements into dashboards, and ensuring accessibility compliance. The position supports the development of operational and analytical reporting products, data integration, and visualizations to improve program delivery and performance monitoring. It requires strong technical expertise in Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Azure, and a clear understanding of accessibility standards.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop, and implement Power BI dashboards using DAX, SQL, and Azure services
Translate wireframes and business requirements into technical tasks
Build and test reports, dashboards, and data models aligned with business needs
Document algorithms, parameters, and design using standard documentation practices
Conduct data modelling, ETL/ELT tasks, and integrate with cloud services
Support accessibility compliance following AODA and WCAG 2.0 standards
Work closely with project managers, QA analysts, UI/UX designers, and other developers
Participate in Fit-Gap analysis, functional design, and usability testing
Facilitate knowledge transfer through training, demos, and documentation

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years of Power BI development experience including DAX and report modeling
Proficiency with SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Database, and Azure Synapse
Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Analysis Services, and Customer Voice
Strong skills in translating business requirements into functional reporting products
Familiarity with AODA and WCAG 2.0 compliance for reporting and dashboards
Background in scripting, Informatica/SSIS, and data-specific development tasks
Experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
