About the Role: We are looking for a motivated Business Intelligence Specialist (Intern) to support our data & analytics initiatives. You will help transform raw data into actionable insights by building dashboards, running analyses, and supporting data quality and reporting processes. This is a hands-on internship with mentorship, training, and exposure to end-to-end BI delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the design and development of interactive dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI / Tableau / Looker)
  • Gather and refine business requirements, translating them into clear metrics, KPIs, and data models
  • Query and analyze data using SQL
  • assist in data preparation with Power Query / ETL tools
  • Perform data validation and quality checks, documenting assumptions and findings
  • Contribute to ad-hoc analyses (market, product, customer, operations) and present insights to stakeholders
  • Maintain and iterate on existing BI assets, ensuring accuracy, performance, and usability
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts on data pipelines and source-to-report flows
  • Create clear documentation (datasets, dashboards, definitions, processes)

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in STEM, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or related fields
  • Solid knowledge of Excel and basic SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY)
  • Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills in English and Italian (written and spoken)
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Power BI (or Tableau/Looker): DAX basics, Power Query, data relationships
  • Exposure to Python or R for data analysis (e.g., pandas, numpy)
  • Understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard UX
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS) and/or version control (Git)
  • Knowledge of statistics (descriptive stats, A/B testing concepts) is a plus
