Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing BI solutions that support business decision-making processes. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver impactful insights.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and maintain BI solutions using technologies such as BusinessObjects, Cognos, and DAX
  • Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into actionable insights
  • Create and manage dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support organizational analytics needs
  • Work with APIs, including Maps API, to integrate data sources and enhance reporting capabilities
  • Optimize data pipelines and workflows using Informatica to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Design comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) that outline project objectives and deliverables
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement
  • Ensure data security and compliance across all BI processes and solutions
  • Provide ongoing technical support and training to business users
  • Stay updated on emerging BI technologies and recommend their integration into existing systems

Requirements

  • Proven experience with BusinessObjects, Cognos, DAX, and Informatica
  • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence technologies and tools
  • Proficiency in creating dashboards, visualizations, and analytical reports
