Job Description:

This position is ideal for someone who excels at transforming raw data into actionable insights through advanced analytics and visualization tools like Power BI. As a long-term contract role, this opportunity allows you to contribute to meaningful projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Extract, clean, and organize data from legacy systems, spreadsheets, and flat files to ensure accuracy and usability
  • Develop and maintain Power BI datasets, models, and dashboards to visualize financial and operational metrics effectively
  • Automate recurring reports and analytics using tools such as Excel macros, Power Query, and other BI solutions
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, sales performance, and operational data to support profitability assessments and strategic decision-making
  • Build financial models for forecasting, pricing analysis, margin evaluations, and scenario planning
  • Provide clear and actionable insights by translating complex data into understandable formats for non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives such as pricing optimization, cost analysis, and acquisition due diligence
  • Support system optimization efforts and assist with upcoming system upgrades
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and deliver data-driven solutions tailored to business needs
  • Ensure data visualization tools are refreshed regularly and maintain functionality for ongoing reporting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in business intelligence, financial analytics, or data-driven finance roles
  • Proficiency in developing Power BI dashboards and creating advanced visualizations
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with complex datasets
  • Familiarity with BusinessObjects technologies and Erwin Data modeling tools
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and model financial and operational data
  • Expertise in automating processes through tools like Excel macros and Power Query
  • Strong communication skills to present data insights effectively to non-technical audiences
