Job Description:

Our leading financial services client is seeking a detail-oriented BIM Specialist to join a high-priority project pod focused on data management transformation. This project is a critical initiative to bring the bank’s most vital Risk and Compliance reporting—over 40 distinct outputs—into full adherence with new global data standards. You will play a pivotal role in mapping the data journey from source to report, ensuring the integrity of the bank’s most sensitive financial metrics.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner directly with output and report owners to identify and prioritize the most critical metrics and line items within each report
  • Decompose material line items into their underlying data elements
  • Trace data from its origin to its final destination, documenting system transformations, technical metadata, and business definitions
  • Coordinate with various internal partners, including Data SMEs, Technology teams, and Governance professionals to meet project milestones
  • Operate within a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment, attending approximately 5 hours of internal syncs per week
  • Proactively identify and escalate technical blockers or data gaps that could impact delivery timelines

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Financial Risk sectors (e.g., Credit Risk, Market Risk, or Retail Risk)
  • Strong background in Data Lineage analysis, including the ability to document complex data flows and transformations
  • Advanced proficiency in Alteryx (or similar ETL/End-User tools) and the MS Office Suite (specifically Access, Excel, and Visio)
  • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project environments
  • Exceptional ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical business partners

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Data Controls and Data Governance frameworks
  • Direct experience with Data Control Testing
What we offer:
  • High-Impact Work: Gain experience on a massive regulatory transformation project at one of the world’s largest financial institutions
  • Collaborative Culture: Work within a structured "pod" environment designed for knowledge sharing and efficient delivery
  • Focused Workflow: With only ~5 hours of internal meetings per week, you will have dedicated time for deep-dive technical analysis and documentation
  • Internal Focus: Engage strictly with internal stakeholders and partners, simplifying the communication landscape
  • Portfolio Growth: Master the complexities of Financial Risk reporting, a highly sought-after skill set in the current banking climate
