Job Description:

We are looking for a Business Immigration Attorney to join a global immigration law firm on a Contract assignment supporting the San Francisco, California team. This fully remote opportunity requires availability during Pacific Time business hours and is expected to run for approximately three months, with the possibility of extension based on workload. The attorney in this role will contribute to a busy employment-based immigration practice, focusing on non-immigrant visa matters and delivering precise, compliant filings in a fast-moving environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluate employment-based non-immigrant visa matters and determine appropriate filing strategy across classifications such as H-1B, L-1, TN, E-2, and O-1
  • Prepare, revise, and finalize petitions, attorney support letters, and legal arguments to ensure filings are thorough and well supported
  • Analyze case facts and documentation to identify eligibility issues, risk factors, and practical next steps for internal stakeholders
  • Examine supporting records for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with current immigration laws and regulatory standards
  • Draft responses to Requests for Evidence and address additional follow-up from government agencies when needed
  • Manage a substantial volume of active matters while maintaining quality, organization, and timely turnaround
  • Collaborate with legal and case support teams in a remote setting to keep matters progressing efficiently and accurately

Requirements:

  • J.D. degree and active admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • At least 3 years of experience practicing business immigration law as a licensed attorney
  • Strong background handling employment-based immigration matters, particularly non-immigrant visa petitions
  • Demonstrated ability to draft and review filings in a high-volume legal environment with close attention to detail
  • Experience preparing responses to RFEs, appeals, or other complex submissions is highly valued
  • Excellent legal writing, analysis, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote role during Pacific Time or West Coast business hours
