We are expanding our regional manufacturing support network and are seeking experienced professionals with a background in manufacturing to work with a diverse portfolio of businesses across the Lincolnshire and wider region. This role is suited to someone who understands modern manufacturing operations and is motivated by helping companies improve productivity, strengthen processes, and build confidence in adopting new technologies and innovative ways of working. You will act as a trusted adviser to manufacturing leaders, supporting them to assess their current position, enhance digital capability, and implement practical improvements that deliver measurable impact.
Job Responsibility:
Initiate and develop strong working relationships with manufacturing businesses across the region
Spend time on site understanding operations, culture, performance challenges and growth ambitions
Deliver structured business and digital capability reviews
Produce clear and commercially focused recommendations
Advise on process improvement approaches that drive efficiency, quality and operational resilience
Support leaders to improve digital literacy across their organisations
Help businesses make informed decisions about technology adoption and innovation
Provide balanced guidance on system improvements and data led decision making
Support leadership teams to manage change effectively
Facilitate workshops, potential grant opportunities and strategic discussions focused on innovation and future readiness
Connect businesses to specialist expertise or funding opportunities where appropriate
Contribute to wider regional engagement activity that strengthens collaboration within the manufacturing community
Requirements:
Experience working for a manufacturer with involvement in operational leadership, improvement activity or cross functional collaboration
Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and continuous improvement principles
Good digital awareness including familiarity with production systems and business software used in manufacturing environments
Ability to explain technology concepts in practical and commercial terms to non-technical audiences
Understanding of how to approach organisational change
Confidence engaging with business owners, senior managers and operational teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent IT skills
Effective planning and organisational capability
Comfortable managing multiple business relationships and working in a digitally enabled environment
A degree or equivalent professional experience in manufacturing, engineering, business or a related discipline would be advantageous
Evidence of ongoing professional development
