We are seeking to appoint a Part-time Business & Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching across Year 7 to Year 13. The role includes contributing to curriculum planning, assessment, and quality assurance within the department. The postholder will support students’ academic progress, maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and contribute positively to whole-school improvement. This is a part-time position with 15 lessons per week.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver lessons with clear objectives and assessments
Set challenging tasks to maintain interest and build on prior attainment
Cater to individual student needs and maintain lesson structure, pace and motivation
Use diverse teaching methods, including questioning, resource selection and study skill development
Ensure effective use of time, assessments and school policies on discipline, behaviour and homework
Contribute to curriculum development with clear targets and success criteria
Act as class tutor, supporting the progress and well-being of students
Register attendance, encourage participation and address individual student concerns
Prepare reports and action plans and communicate with staff about student needs
To support break and lunch supervision during term time
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject area or B.Ed.
Post Graduate Certificate of Education or a certificate of equivalence
Minimum of 2–5 years of teaching Business Management and Economics language experience in the secondary section
Experience in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning
Ability to set clear expectations and stretch goals
A depth of understanding in the relevant subject area
Ability to judge learning effectiveness
Enthusiasm, creativity, and a growth mindset
Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare
Experience in IGCSE, A Level and IBDP Programmes
Previous experience in an international school setting
