Business Development Scientist – Advanced Materials (USA). We’re looking for a Business Development Scientist to drive growth across Lucideon’s U.S. Advanced Materials business. This is a senior, high‑impact role combining deep technical understanding with commercial thinking, where you’ll help build new markets, develop strategic partnerships, and act as a key commercial lead for advanced materials opportunities.
Job Responsibility:
Operate as a senior Business Development Scientist supporting U.S. Advanced Materials growth
Act as a commercial lead for new market development and strategic opportunities
Identify, develop, and convert new business across sectors such as nuclear (SMRs), aerospace, defense, alloys, and advanced ceramics
Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal scientific teams
Translate complex technical capabilities into clear customer value propositions
Collaborate with global experts to bring advanced materials solutions to market
Travel across the U.S. to engage customers and support business growth
Requirements:
Degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Hands‑on experience in Advanced Materials or a closely related technical field
Experience in business development, technical sales, or commercial growth roles
Ability to engage credibly with scientists, engineers, and senior stakeholders
Willingness to travel and be regularly present at Lucideon’s U.S. sites
Nice to have:
Experience selling scientific or technical services
Exposure to R&D, consulting, or technology‑led environments
