As the Business Development Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the strategic development and management of customer relationships within the mining sector. Reporting directly into the General Manager, this role requires a technically minded sales professional with a strong understanding of ground engaging tools, mining attachments and material handling equipment. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for clients and will work closely with our engineering and production teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Job Responsibility
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth and revenue targets, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within WA mining operations
Build strong relationships with procurement managers, site engineers, maintenance supervisors, and other key stakeholders
Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations, and tenders
Conduct regular site visits to understand client needs and offer technical support
Collaborate with engineering to develop customised solutions
Monitor market trends, industry developments and competitor activity
Maintain accurate CRM records of pipeline, forecasts, and sales activity
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
Negotiate contracts and pricing within company guidelines
Ensure high customer satisfaction and manage after-sales support
Requirements
Extensive experience within technical sales or business development within the mining or heavy engineering industry, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Experience selling mining attachments, buckets, trays, or ground engaging tools is highly desirable
Qualifications within engineering or a Trade background is highly regarded
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly to mine sites and obtain required site certifications
Strong technical understanding of mining equipment and attachments with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Skilled communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation abilities and a customer first mindset
Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and manage priorities
Knowledge of WA mining industry and key stakeholders
Nice to have
Experience selling mining attachments, buckets, trays, or ground engaging tools is highly desirable
