The Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the Northwest Arkansas region and surrounding states. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems with a background in sales or networking and an understanding of the A/E industry.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on the growth and expansion of the NWA market
Initiate contact with decision-makers such as C-Suite executives, facility directors and maintenance managers
Build long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and general contractors to position the firm for future opportunities
Identify upcoming projects, RFPs, and partnership opportunities through market research and networking
Represent the firm at industry conferences, trade shows and networking functions to expand the firm’s visibility
Track and report on business development activities, project pipeline, and performance metrics
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, design, engineering) to develop compelling proposals and presentations
Stay informed on Regional trends and funding mechanisms affecting facility development in the Northwest Arkansas region

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
5+ years’ experience in business development, preferably within the A/E industry
Proven track record of securing and managing client relationships and contracts
Familiarity with design and construction processes
Experience with CRM tools and proposal development platforms
Experience developing contacts and maintaining client networks
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
