Job Description:

As a Business Development Representative at Meritech, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to grow our customer base by identifying and developing new business opportunities. With a 12-second wash cycle that is clinically proven to remove more than 99% of harmful pathogens, Meritech's CleanTech Automated Handwashing technologies are changing the hygiene game for thousands of companies in food production, packaging, entertainment, travel, and more.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to grow customer base
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Conduct customer outreach calls
  • Hunt new business
  • Analyze industry and customer data to inform future decisions
  • Work closely with others as a team in an upbeat, collaborative environment

Requirements:

  • Experienced in (or eager to learn) lead generation and customer outreach (industry experience preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and preferably experienced in CRM's (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, or LinkedIn)
  • A skilled multi-tasker and time manager
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Committed to delivering high-quality and accurate work
  • Flexible and adaptable in their interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with different types & preferences of customers, with positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills & work ethic
  • Experienced at analyzing data to find helpful & relevant information to inform business decisions
  • Excellent with verbal and written communication to clearly communicate with customers (proficient in English reading, writing, and basic mathematics - high school diploma or GED equivalent level)
  • Able to regularly perform physical requirements with or without accommodations: frequently utilize basic office equipment, communicate via phone/email/chat, work prolonged periods at a desk/computer
  • occasionally lift up to 15 pounds

Nice to have:

  • Industry experience in lead generation and customer outreach
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn)
