PagerDuty is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our diverse, customer-focused team! As Business Development Representative, you will report to a Manager of Sales Development and as part of a dynamic team, you'll collaborate closely with our talented Account Executives, fueling their pipelines with promising leads and conquering territories together. You'll be at the forefront of our Sales department, representing the prestigious PagerDuty brand and serving as the initial point of contact for our target accounts. Your role will be to ignite their interest through a modern approach to outbound prospecting, nurturing, educating and captivating them with the incredible value of PagerDuty.
Job Responsibility:
Value Selling- focus on highlighting the unique PD value and benefit our products and services can provide to a customer
Effectively communicate PagerDuty's business value proposition to evaluate interest in making a purchase
Quickly adapting to the Command of the Message (COM) selling model and employing solution selling/customer-centric sales method
Sales Effectiveness- Establishing, overseeing and maintaining genuine connections with customers
Consistently achieve sales goals
Exhibit strong collaboration and time management skills
Sales Execution- Ensuring that one’s own and other’s work and information are complete and accurate
Utilize best practices in account development to strategically target enterprise accounts
Employ a discovery process to engage in conversations with practitioners and management levels of our target accounts
Proficiently use Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Outreach and Demandbase to optimize sales activities
Requirements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with potential customers and build relationships
Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple leads and opportunities effectively
Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment
Passion for technology
1-2 Years experience in outbound prospecting
Nice to have:
Prior sales development experience preferred
Experience using salesforce.com preferred
BA/BS Degree
