We're looking for a driven Junior Business Development Representative (more generally referred to as "インサイドセールス (Inside Sales) or "内勤営業" in Japanese) to support our Uber for Business sales team. This high impact position will provide sales support to Account Executives through the development of qualified leads that result in achieving our business goals. If you're looking for career growth, this role will serve as a training ground for a pathway into an Account Executive position with demonstrated success. You will be responsible for outbound prospecting through phone, email, and tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Sales Marker. A key focus in Japan will be building trust-based relationships and understanding customer needs and decision-making processes. Partnering with Account Executives, you will ensure leads are properly qualified and progress through the sales funnel. This includes accurately updating Salesforce with customer insights and identifying clear next steps for Mid-Market Account Executives to engage prospects.
Job Responsibility
Generate new business opportunities to fuel the pipeline in an assigned vertical or territory and partner with assigned Account Executives
Research and develop our accounts Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, and marketing campaigns
Hit assigned Key Performance Metrics that are not limited to, but including, the generation of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), the contribution of pipeline through size of opportunity and total Gross Bookings from closed opportunities
Uncover a prospect's business challenges and identify relevant new business opportunities, while highlighting the Uber for Business value proposition
Conduct high-level conversations with senior executives
Manage, track, and report on all sales activities and results using Salesforce
Work closely with your sales team to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business
Work effectively with internal departments to deliver the best solution for the client and ensure an excellent experience
Requirements
2025 University new graduate with 1 years or less experience OR 2026 University new graduate
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with business-level English proficiency and the ability to extract critical prospect insights while maintaining a mutually valuable conversation
Have a positive, self-driven team-first mentality with a desire to learn
Excellent organization, project management, time-management skills, and ability to take initiative
Nice to have
Experience with email campaigns and Salesforce
