Job Description

As our Business Development & Partnerships Manager, you will build and grow Designity’s in-person sales presence across New York City and beyond, focused on connecting with global clients through live events, networking, and relationship-driven outreach. You’ll attend the right events, build trust with senior decision-makers, organize VIP dinners and private executive experiences, and turn face-to-face conversations into qualified opportunities and long-term clients.

Job Responsibility

  • Own Designity’s in-person business development channel by attending high-value conferences, events, networking opportunities, and business gatherings across NYC that align with Designity’s ideal global clients, generating leads and converting them through in-person relationship-building
  • Build quarterly field sales plans with clear targets for events, industries, meetings, pipeline, and revenue
  • Represent Designity in person and lead consultative conversations with Directors, VPs, and C-level decision-makers
  • Find and qualify in-person leads through networking, relationship-building, and event participation
  • Turn live conversations into meetings, opportunities, and closed business through strong follow-up and sales discipline
  • Organize VIP dinners, private executive gatherings, and sales-focused relationship events that deepen trust and open new opportunities
  • Use modern sales and AI-assisted tools to improve follow-up, personalize outreach, and support lead nurturing after meetings and events
  • Build relationships with local businesses, industry contacts, and strategic communities that can drive referrals and introductions
  • Share market feedback on buyer needs, objections, positioning, and competitive insights to strengthen go-to-market strategy
  • Help define repeatable playbooks and best practices for future field sales growth

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in full-cycle sales, field sales, or events-driven business development
  • Proven success generating new business and closing high-value deals through relationship-based selling
  • Strong experience engaging senior decision-makers at the Director, VP, and C-level
  • Confidence building trust quickly in live, in-person environments
  • Excellent consultative selling, communication, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to turn conversations at events and networking opportunities into real pipeline
  • Experience hosting or leading executive dinners, private events, or high-touch client experiences is a strong plus
  • Strong organization and CRM discipline with a consistent approach to pipeline management
  • Comfort using modern sales tools and AI-supported workflows to improve outreach, follow-up, and sales efficiency
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to evaluate where time and in-person presence will have the biggest impact
  • A self-motivated, proactive approach and comfort working in a fast-moving environment
