A well-established nonprofit organization in South Los Angeles is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Business Development / Office Business Manager to help launch, organize, and scale multiple program initiatives. This individual will work closely with the executive leadership team to support the growth and operational management of approximately 15 program sectors serving the community. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a startup-style environment within a mission-driven organization. The right candidate will bring a strong ability to build structure, support new initiatives, and help scale programs that expand the nonprofit’s impact.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with executive leadership to support the launch and growth of multiple program initiatives and community services
Help develop operational plans, processes, and systems to support program expansion
Coordinate cross-functional activities across departments to ensure programs are implemented effectively
Track program performance, milestones, and operational metrics
Assist with business development initiatives, partnerships, and revenue-generating opportunities aligned with the nonprofit’s mission
Organize and manage project timelines, documentation, and reporting
Support grant initiatives, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships when applicable
Help establish scalable systems and processes as new programs are introduced
Serve as a key operational point of contact for leadership and internal teams
Maintain strong organization and communication across multiple initiatives simultaneously
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field preferred
4–8+ years of experience in business development, operations management, program management, or startup environments
Experience helping launch or scale programs, initiatives, departments, or business lines strongly preferred
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build structure in growing environments
Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work closely with executive leadership and manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
