We’re looking for someone who can get out into the market, building relationships and grow demand for a product range that offers a genuine alternative to traditional materials. You’ll be working across sectors such as fencing, construction and builders’ merchants, helping customers discover solutions that not only perform but also support their sustainability goals. This is not a desk based role. You’ll be spending time with customers, understanding their projects, identifying opportunities and turning conversations into long term business relationships. If you enjoy opening doors, developing accounts and having the freedom to manage your own territory, you’ll fit right in.
Job Responsibility
Identifying and securing new business opportunities within your market
Developing relationships with contractors, builders' merchants, fencing specialists and other key customers
Growing existing accounts and uncovering new opportunities within them
Presenting product solutions using samples, catalogues and technical support
Meeting customers on-site to understand projects and provide commercial solutions
Attending trade shows, exhibitions and networking events to generate new leads
Maintaining a strong pipeline and keeping CRM records up to date
Responding quickly to enquiries and progressing opportunities through to close
Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify areas for growth
Promoting the company's sustainability credentials and long-term value proposition
Requirements
Experience in business development, field sales or account management
A track record of generating new business and growing customer accounts
Experience within construction, manufacturing, building products or related industries
Experience dealing with merchants and specification sales
Strong relationship building and communication skills
A commercial mindset and confidence closing opportunities independently
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own territory
Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
A self motivated approach and the ability to work remotely
