A premier North American food manufacturer specializing in high-quality baked goods and private label solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager. This role is a blend of strategic account management and aggressive market expansion. You will be responsible for representing a beloved brand and its private label capabilities to major corporate stakeholders in the grocery, restaurant, and hospitality sectors.
Job Responsibility
Identify and close new business opportunities in untapped markets (Convenience, Leisure, Cruise, etc.)
Manage and grow assigned high-volume corporate accounts, ensuring 'Gold Standard' service levels
Navigate the complexities of private label sales, working with corporate buying teams rather than individual store owners
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to provide actionable insights to the SVP and Sales Director
Attend trade shows and client meetings across Canada and the United States (Passport required).
Requirements
4–7 years of professional sales experience within Food Manufacturing or CPG
Proven track record in Private Label sales and corporate-level negotiations
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in CRM tools
Willingness to complete a Predictive Index (PI) behavioral and cognitive assessment
Ability to commute to the Milton/Halton region 2 days per week.
