We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to partner with our independent store owners and support them in optimising sales performance and long-term growth. In this role, you’ll work closely with customers across all of Western Australia, building strong, trusted relationships and helping store owners grow revenue through targeted marketing initiatives, improved store standards, and an effective product mix. As a genuine and authentic partner to your store network, you’ll take a proactive, hands-on approach - conducting in-depth store assessments, identifying opportunities, and implementing tailored action plans. You’ll also collaborate closely with internal teams including Merchandise, Marketing, Store Development and Distribution, to drive operational excellence and sustainable results across the network. Job Responsibility:
Grow retail and trade sales across your assigned store network
Champion the successful store roadmap: price, standards, convenience, range, customer service, trade and local
Benchmark store performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Support store development activity through detailed assessments and clear action plans
Identify and promote innovation, ranging and sales opportunities into stores
Proactively build new business and strengthen existing partnerships
Requirements:
Proven sales experience with a track record of growing a retail or multi-site network
Hardware industry experience highly regarded
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse financial reports and translate insights into action
A solution-focused mindset, with strong problem-solving capability and resilience
A driven self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
An authentic, people-first approach to relationship building
Flexibility to travel across WA with approx 2 nights away per week
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
