We’re looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our UK Growth team. This is a front-line growth role for someone energised by opening doors, creating demand and building opportunity where none yet exists. You’ll play a critical role in driving market engagement and generating new business leads across our key UK industries: Retail; CPG; Manufacturing; Travel & Hospitality; Automotive; Financial Services & Insurance; Professional Services.
Job Responsibility:
Create demand and drive UK market engagement across our focus industries
Proactively hunt for new leads and open doors within high-value target accounts using networking, outreach, campaigns and market intelligence
Generate and qualify early-stage opportunities, building relationships with stakeholders and connecting them with the right Valtech experts
Leverage your network to uncover referrals and warm introductions that expand Valtech’s reach
Act as a connector — ensuring smooth handover of qualified leads to Business Development Executives
Collaborate with Marketing, European Growth Operations and Vertical Portfolio Directors to execute targeted campaigns and thought leadership initiatives
Capture and share market intelligence on client priorities, competitor activity and emerging trends
Represent Valtech at industry events, conferences and networking forums
Champion a collaborative growth culture across the UK team
Requirements:
Experience in business development, sales or client engagement — ideally within digital consultancy, technology services or agency environments
Proven success in prospecting, opening enterprise accounts and building pipeline
Strong ability to build early-stage relationships and represent Valtech credibly in-market
A true hunter mindset — proactive, persistent and creative in uncovering opportunities
Excellent communication and presentation skills, engaging decision-makers in meaningful conversations
Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
A collaborative, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
