This is a field-based Business Development Manager role covering South Australia and the Northern Territory. Based from a home office, you will manage existing wholesaler relationships, build contractor engagement and identify project opportunities across your territory. In a dynamic role like this, the opportunity is not only to maintain momentum, but to build your standing in the market over the next three to five years as the territory continues to develop.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain and grow relationships with project wholesalers across South Australia
Complete a minimum of five wholesaler visits per day
Complete at least five contractor visits per week
Identify project opportunities through audits, prospecting and branch engagement
Travel to the Northern Territory one to two times per year to build market presence
Requirements:
Experience in business development or account management within lighting, electrical wholesale or a related sector
Project lighting experience, including identifying opportunities and conducting lighting audits
A track record of growing sales across existing accounts and winning new business
Experience managing a regional territory from a home office
Strong relationship management skills with wholesalers, contractors and branch stakeholders
A valid driver’s licence
Working rights aligned with long-term employment in Australia
Willingness to travel across South Australia and periodically to the Northern Territory
Nice to have:
Experience working against similar KPOs, particularly where you have managed frequent face-to-face visits, increased share of wallet within branch networks and built contractor pipelines
