We're seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Development Manager to play a critical role in expanding our market presence in Canada within the specialized security products (physical store-front security/grilles) industry. This high-growth position is essential for building and nurturing our Canadian distributor network and exploring new market opportunities, including the residential sector. The successful candidate will have a clear career path to a future leadership role, learning directly from the current operational head. This role is 90% focused on new business development (BD), specifically building and strengthening the distributor network across Canada, with a base in Mississauga, ON. The ideal candidate possesses strong business and sales acumen, a relationship-driven approach, and the ambition to advance into a senior leadership position. A minor component (10%) of the role involves account management (AM) to ensure business continuity and develop deep account knowledge.
Job Responsibility:
Identify, prospect, and secure new distributors and corporate customers across Canada to drive significant sales growth
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share, particularly focusing on the distributor base and new markets like the residential sector
Build and maintain robust, long-term customer relationships, managing the sales cycle from initial contact to agreement
Learn basic technical product knowledge, including the ability to read 2-dimensional drawings and envision product integration into architectural plans
Collaborate closely with the current operational team to learn the business, visit installations, and master product application
Ensure customer satisfaction and provide authoritative support for existing accounts as required (AM focus)
Requirements:
Proven sales acumen and a strong work ethic

Solid business acumen with an understanding of margins and customer service best practices
Basic technical or mechanical aptitude
must be able to read and interpret 2-dimensional drawings and apply basic math
