Now in Manchester, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to help us build local relationships, drive guest loyalty, and create memorable experiences rooted in our values of heritage, authenticity, generosity, empathy, and community. As Business Development Manager, you’ll take the lead on guest engagement and community connections in Manchester. You’ll focus on building strong local partnerships, increasing restaurant visibility, managing group enquiries, and driving bookings. Working closely with the General Manager and wider support teams, you’ll be a key figure in connecting Lina Stores to it's Manchester neighbourhood.
Job Responsibility:
Be a true ambassador of the Lina Stores experience in Manchester, upholding high standards of service and hospitality
Understand and communicate our culinary offering, heritage, and story with pride and accuracy
Maintain a visible presence in the restaurant to ensure the guest journey reflects our long-standing commitment to quality
Build genuine relationships with local businesses, hotels, venues, and guests to foster a sense of community
Respond to enquiries for private dining and group bookings with care, enthusiasm, and efficiency
Deliver “surprise and delight” moments and loyalty initiatives that turn first-time guests into regulars
Act as a connector, getting to know the local area and people to bring the Lina Stores experience to life beyond the walls of the restaurant
Proactively seek out new opportunities for business development, events, and collaborations in the Manchester market
Take ownership of sales activity and work closely with marketing and operations to track performance and improve results
Ensure internal teams are briefed on upcoming activations, partnerships, and group bookings
Use feedback, data, and trends to shape future strategies and continuously improve guest engagement
Requirements:
Previous experience in hospitality sales, guest relations, or business development
A confident communicator with natural warmth, professionalism, and credibility
Passion for food, people, and service
Commercially minded and target driven — with a love for connecting with others
A self-starter with strong local knowledge and the ability to think creatively
Organised and detail-oriented, with a solutions-focused mindset
